Kids and adults will have a ball at ‘Christmas with We Bare Bears’ at City Square Mall in Singapore with its character-themed displays and fun activities including a giant bouncy house and snowing sessions.
Christmas has arrived at City Square Mall! The shopping mall has kick started its We Bare Bears-themed Christmas event and promotions on 15 November right at the start of school holidays. What great timing!
Though we’re not We Bare Bears fans, we were stoked enough by the promise of snow (for the kids) and character-themed wrapping paper (for the auntie in me) to visit on the first day. Besides, who isn’t in the mood for Christmas already with the Christmas songs and décor you hear and see everywhere. *Happy sigh*
Here are five reasons why you'd want to spend ‘Christmas with We Bare Bears’ at City Square Mall:
1) The super cute We Bare Bears displays
The We Bare Bears displays in and outside the mall are super cute. Most of them are at its Christmas Square which is at level one at its City Green Park, near the playground. Like this...
and this.
And when it’s night time, the place is even more gorgeous when they are all lit up. Like this...

and this.
2) It's snowing!
Snowing sessions take place at the Christmas Square every day at 730pm, 8pm and 830pm.
Well, they are not real snow of course, but foam actually. Nonetheless, like all the kids there, our girls enjoyed being showered with foam, I mean snow, and pretending they were really in winter wonderland. It’s quite a happy sight, really.
3) One giant bounce house
At the same outdoor area, there’s also a bounce house (or bouncy castle if you like) and it’s not any run-of-the-mill inflatable but a huge one with a very tall slide.
Every $30 spent at City Square Mall will get you one entry, meaning if you have two kids, you’ll need to have spent $60 for two entries (there is a limit of three passes per redemption though). You can combine a maximum of three receipts to make the amount and then redeem for the passes at the Customer Service area on Level 2 before proceeding to the bouncy house.
The bouncy house operates 5-9pm on weekdays and 1-9pm on weekends and public holidays. You get 30 minutes at the bouncy castle but our kids only lasted 20 minutes on it after much strenuous jumping and climbing on it!
4) Catch the Bros at We Bare Bears ‘live’ show
A We Bare Bears Christmas ‘live’ show is also happening from 30 November till 15 December (except 2 & 9 December) at the mall’s stage on level one. Show times are at 2pm and 7pm from Tuesday till Friday and at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
If you want a meet-and-greet pass to take photos with the bears after the show, you can spend $40 to redeem the pass. 50 passes are available for redemption two hours prior to each live show.
5) Redeem other We Bare Bear goodies
My hubby once mentioned he doesn't understand why I get so excited over redeeming Christmas wrappers. Uh, so I have free wrappers to wrap Christmas pressies? Actually it's more than that. I love seeing the unique designs malls come up with every year for their gift wraps. Some are so pretty, like the Pokemon ones we got from AMK hub last year, I couldn't bear to use them!
Well, this year at City Square Mall, you can redeem for a set of We Bare Bear Christmas gift wrappers with spending of $60. Exclusive We Bare Bear glass mugs are also available for redemption with spending of $200. We didn't spend that much to redeem the mugs but we saw someone redeeming it and it's really quite lovely.
As with all redemption, there are T&Cs involved e.g. redemption must be made on the same day of purchase, and is limited to one meet-and-greet pass or one set of wrappers or one mug. And these are spelled out very clearly by the mall. See City Square Mall’s website for details.
There's nothing like early mall festivities to get you into the mood for Christmas. *Happy sigh again*
