6 things we love at the new 6 Letter Brunch at Crawford Lane

6 Letter Brunch at Singapore's Crawford Lane is a pretty garden-themed cafe with scrumptious all-day breakfast, desserts and drinks.

Okay, I was a bit tempted to keep this gem of a place we discovered recently a secret, lest it gets too crowded, but well, if we don't share to support our local establishments, how are they going to continue operating, right?😄

Located inside Outpost Climbing at Blk 464 Crawford Lane Unit 01-464, 6 Letter Brunch opened in May and I came across it while looking for a place near Outpost Climbing to take Big E and her friends for tea after their climbing session. What luck that the cafe just opened, is right inside Outpost Climbing, and it was so pretty and with good food to boot! The food and drinks were a hit with Big E and friends!

We returned the following week for lunch as my girls took up climbing lessons at Ourpost Climbing for the June holidays, so I can tell you now this is definitely one of my family's favourite cafes in Singapore. Here are six things we love about 6 Letter Brunch:

1) The pretty space

This is such a beautiful and inviting garden-themed cafe with its potted plants, minimalist furniture and old school swing. There is also a kid's corner with a shorter table near a shelf of books and colouring materials to entertain the little ones.

While the cafe is is bright and gorgeous, I did find the space a little tight and if the cafe is crowded, you'll find yourself sitting almost back-to-back with other diners at some tables.

2) The all-day breakfast and toast menu

6 Letter Brunch has an all-day breakfast menu which makes this place perfect for brunch, but then again, my family can eat breakfast items any time of the day, so this is perfect for us for lunch and tea break as well! We've tried a few of the all-day breakfast and toast items and they all got the thumbs-up from my family. Here's what we had:

The Good Day Breakfast with crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, arabiki pork sausages, edamame, sourdough butter toast and mixed salad (S$19). The eggs were nicely done, the sausages flavourful and the sour dough bread warm with crunchy edges.

The Scrambled Eggs Pancakes ($9) comes with a croissant in the menu but you can change it to pancakes instead. Little E liked the soft and fluffy the pancakes.

Mr Frank is two sourdough toast with monterey jack, cheddar, mozzarella, pork ham, mornay sauce, tomato jam and mixed salad ($15). The portion is huge but a tad salty because of the cheeses. Still, hubs enjoyed his hearty meal paired with an iced matcha latte ($7.80).

The Smoked Salmon Avocado comes with sourdough butter toast, avocado spread, Norwegian smoked salmon, red onions, cherry tomatoes, lemon and mixed salad ($14). You can add 2 sous vide egg for $4 which is what we did. Big E loves her salad, eggs and smoked salmon, so she lapped this up pretty quickly!

I had the Brunch Tacos which comes with scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato salsa, mixed cheese, sweet potatoes, chipotle honey aioli, and mixed salad ($15). The fillings were good, though the tortilla was a bit too thick for my liking. I prefer my tortillas thin but it's just a personal preference.

We also ordered the Creamy Mushroom Soup ($7) that comes with buttered sourdough on both visits. Little E and I love the soup - t's very fragrant and the sourdough, again, done to perfection! Paired this with a no sugar iced cafe latte ($6.80), which is very refreshing for the hot weather.

We enjoyed our meals on both visits but hopefully there will be even more variety in the menu going forward - I saw the 6 Letter Brunch outlet at Frankel Avenue has fries, rosti and more pasta variety 😁

3) The drinks and desserts

6 Letter Brunch is great for tea breaks too with its good variety of coffee, tea, juices, milkshakes, desserts, smoothie bowls and gelato. Big E's friend had the charcoal waffle gelato ($14) which looked spectacular!

We also tried a variety of gelato ($5 for single scoop), including hazelnut, dark chocolate, cookies & cream and cotton candy - all good!

4) It's at our fav climbing place!

6 Letter Brunch is located at Outpost Climbing, our favourite climbing place. If you don't know Outpost Climbing (the former T-hall), it's one of the very few places in Singapore that has such thematic climbing walls that are such good fun for kids and adults. Do see our review on Outpost Climbing for more details!

The cafe has seats that look out to part of Outpost Climbing's Fun Zone. So if you have kids having fun there or taking climbing lessons upstairs, it's a great place to chill while waiting for your children.

5) The good service

The service at 6 Letter Brunch is good on the whole. I thought one of our sous vide eggs was a little undercooked and after letting one of the staff know, he fixed it for us. Water is also provided at every table and there is no GST charge.

6) Soft opening promo

Right now 6 Letter Brunch is having a soft opening promo until 14 June 2024 where you can get up to 30% discount if you spend at least $60. You can also get a free scoop of gelato if you post your dining experience in IG stories. Pity the promo is ending soon, if not, we'll be there every week! 😄 But if you see this after the promo ends, I spotted near its gelato bar, a sign that says you get a free scoop of gelato if you post a google review of the cafe. You're welcome!
