Bringing Back Kay-Kay by Dev Kothari is a touching story about courage and family love, with adventure and mystery weaved into it.
Book recommendation for the school hols from Little E! Here’s her review for Bringing Back Kay-Kay by Dev Kothari:
Set in India, Lena’s brother, Karthik (Kay-Kay) goes missing on a train ride back from summer camp. The police dismisses him as another runaway teenager but Lena thinks they’re wrong. With her mother unwell and father back to work, Lena decides to take matters into her hands and find her brother herself. What happened to Kay-Kay? Will Lena be able to find him and bring him back?
This is a touching story about courage and family love, with adventure and mystery weaved into it. I like Lena's determination and courage to find her brother despite meeting many hurdles along the way, and it made me root for the both of them. I recommend this middle grade book for those 9 years old and older.
