The picturesque pool at Civil Service Club Bukit Batok is akin to a mini water park, offering a quick getaway in Singapore for both adults and children.

Ah, Westies, how have you managed to keep this gem under wraps all this time? 😁 I’m talking about the swimming pool at Civil Service Club (CSC) in Bukit Batok, that's a mini water park, complete with a wave pool and thrilling four-storey slide!
Thanks to an invitation from CSC, my family and I got to explore its beautiful pool nestled in the west of Singapore during the March school holidays. I must say, it truly felt like a getaway at a resort. While it’s not on the scale of large water parks like Adventure Cove or Wild Wild Wet, the pool at CSC Bukit Batok offers a variety of fun water features and activities that make for an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon - perfect for a quick escape for both kids and adults!
If you'd also like to take your child to experience the beautiful pool area at CSC Bukit Batok, here's our review and 5 things you should know.
1) What's at the swimming pool at Civil Service Club at Bukit Batok?
The pool area at CSC Bukit Batok features six highlights: the wave pool, drift pool, four-storey slide, lap pool, jacuzzi, and wading pool for kids.
Wave pool

You might think that wave pools are only found at large water parks, but the one at CSC Bukit Batok is a good size, with waves that are just right for a fun, bobbing experience. My girls love wave pools, and they definitely enjoyed this one!

Do note that life jackets commonly provided at water parks are not available here, so do keep an eye on your little ones when at the wave pool if they don't have their own floaties. However, you can rent a tube at S$3 for use at the wave pool, drift pool and slide tower.
Slide Tower

Standing at 8.6 metres high, this slide is pretty thrilling, according to Big E. She was the only one who got to try this because once she was done, there was a lightning alert which meant we all had to get out of the pool area. Boo hoo!
But she can attest that this is really fast and exciting. She said it was like being spun round and round in a tube slide 😄 Hopefully the next time we'll all get to try this! You'll need a tube for this which you can rent for $3.
Lap pool

The lap pool is huge and beautiful, perfect for a good swim. The lap pool overlooks the drift pool and with trees and cabanas in the backdrop, you feel like you're swimming at a resort. The rented tubes are not allowed here, so you can focus on doing your laps here😄
Drift pool

The drift pool is similar to the lazy rivers found at water parks, though on a smaller scale. It's a relaxing experience where you can either swim along the gentle current or float around with your floaties. The serene environment makes it a pleasant way to unwind and enjoy the water.
Jacuzzi

Pity the water in the jacuzzi isn't warm but the powerful jets still provide an excellent back massage! This is a perfect spot to relax and unwind after completing your laps in the lap pool😉
Wading pool

For the little ones, there's a wading pool with a water playground that comes complete with swings, see-saw and an overhead pouring bucket!
Although our playtime was unfortunately cut short by the lightning alert, we would have happily swum and played for a few hours. It's a fantastic way to keep the kids entertained while also getting some exercise!
2) Is the pool and its features open every day?
The pool area is open from 8am till 9pm Tuesday-Sunday, and 11am-9pm on Mondays.
The waves at the Wave Pool and Slide Tower operate at the following times:
Mon-Fri: 5pm-8.45pm
Weekends & public holidays: 10am-8.45pm
School holidays: 10am-1pm, 5pm-8.45pm
The waves occur at hourly intervals, with each session lasting 10 minutes.
3) Are there changing and shower facilities?
Yes, there is a spacious and swanky changing and shower room near the pool, with shampoo and shower gel provided in the shower cubicles. The changing room is also equipped with hair dryers and a water cooler. Towels are available for rental.

4) Is the pool open to public?
While the clubhouse is open to public, the pool is exclusive to Civil Service Club members and their guests.
CSC membership rate ranges from $72 per year for full-time staff in any Ministry or Statutory Board, mainstream universities and affiliated healthcare organisations to $300 per year for Singaporeans or permanent residents.
Membership will give you pool access to all CSC clubhouses, alongside other perks including exclusive use of facilities like badminton and tennis courts, and discounts for chalet bookings. See CSC's website for more details on membership.
5) Where is CSC Bukit Batok located?
Civil Service Club at Bukit Batok is located at 91 Bukit Batok West Avenue 2,
