With an intriguing plot and tight pacing, Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson is a worthy sequel to A Good Girl's Guide to Murder.
Pippa Fitz-Amobi returns in Good Girl, Bad Blood determined not to be involved in any investigations after the traumatic events in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. That is until her friend, Connor, pleads with her to look into his brother's sudden disappearance. Pip finds herself embroiled in her town's secrets again as she puts her life at risk to find Jamie.
In true Holly Jackson-style, there are unexpected twists in this story that you wouldn't see coming. I have enjoyed A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and I enjoyed its sequel even more for the intriguing plot, tight pacing and development of Pip's character.
You can read this book on its own before the first book but there are major spoilers in it for the 1st book. So if you want to read the 1st book, don't read this first (I avoided sharing snippets from the book to keep this review spoiler free). I highly recommend this young adult book for teenagers and those older who like mysteries and thrillers. Now, I can't wait to pick up the third and last book of this trilogy!
BTW this gorgeous hardback book is a Collector’s Edition that comes with sprayed edges, ribbon bookmark and author's introductory letter 😎 Thank you Definitely Books (Pansing) for sending this to me for my review! Good Girl, Bad Blood (Collector’s Edition) is now available at all good bookstores 🤗
