READ & REVIEWED: Sumikko Gurashi Chinese comics

This is one for Sumikko Gurashi fans but even non-fans would find stories cute and its and illustrations beautiful.

I asked Little E if she has any book she'd like to recommend and she handed me this 😄 We bought this Sumikko Gurashi Chinese comic at the Maha Yuyi book fair at Puzzles in the Mist at Safra Toa Payoh last weekend. As you can see from the accompanying items, my girl likes Sumikko Gurashi 😁

This is the second book of the Chinese Sumikko Gurashi comic series. Little E said the first book is funnier but she liked this as well. The comics are not very wordy, so if you're looking for Chinese comics to expose your child to more Chinese medium, this is probably not it. This is probably something more for Sumikko Gurashi fans; the stories are cute and illustrations, gorgeous.

We spy a few more Chinese Sumikko Gurashi picture books at the book fair. Like the comics, they are recommended for those 10 years and up (I think they'd be able to better appreciate the nuances of the stories? 😊) Anyway, Maha Yuyi is a treasure trove for Chinese books. Do check out their physical and online stores!

Disclaimer: We paid for our book, and my opinions and reviews here are strictly my and my family’s own.
